OWNERS

Our owners are professional educators that have built solid reputations within the Medford School District and community.

Owner/Director: Ashley obtains a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Teaching, and a State of Oregon Teaching License. Her education background includes teaching 5th grade and Kindergarten for Medford School District.

Outside of work, she is a wife, mom, and dog mom. She adores her family and spending quality time with them. She also loves running, hiking, reading and being outside. Her goal is that she creates a positive, caring, happy environment that builds strong future little leaders!

Owner/Teacher: Malorie received her Degree in Elementary Education and her Master’s Degree in Teaching. Her teaching background includes teaching 6th grade in the Medford School District. Outside of teaching Malorie enjoys spending time with her son, her boyfriend, family, and friends.
Her other hobbies include playing softball, disc golf, reading, spending time outdoors, and exercising. She creates a wonderful journey of learning for each child that comes into her classroom.

STAFF

We have a highly qualified team of teachers that have a great passion for educating and caring for
the youth of our community. We are proud to have all of them on our team.

Teacher: Ali is a preschool teacher at Cubhouse. She has a bachelors degree in Elementary Education, and took 4 years of college American Sign Language. When she’s not at work, she enjoys to travel, craft, play ice hockey, and spend time with her kids and husband! She is so admired by her coworkers and students and brings so much fun into the classroom.

Teacher: Elise Goff is a preschool teacher at Cubhouse Preschool. She has 21 units of ECE and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her education background includes teaching all ages infant through middle school for about 15 years.
Outside of work, she loves hanging out with family and going to Disneyland.  Some of her hobbies include crafting and baking with her daughter and playing sports at the park.

Teacher: Andi Hickey is a teacher at Cubhouse in the preschool room. She was was born in Medford Oregon and graduated from South Medford High School. She brings so much energy and fun to the team!  She has always loved working with kids and has nannying and babysitting experience.  Her favorite part of working at Cubhouse is spending time with the “best” kids and getting to know each one of them.

Teacher: Makayla is an early learners teacher at Cubhouse Preschool. She is a local to Southern Oregon and graduated from Prospect High School. She TA’ed all through high school and enjoys helping students on their learning journeys. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors specifically hiking, spending time with her siblings and her husband. Some of her hobbies include reading, shopping, and sitting by a pool on a summer day. She is passionate about growing the kids to have a successful and bright future!

Teacher: Mrs Gomez is an early learners teacher  at Cubhouse Preschool. She is bilingual and brings so much of her culture into our center.  Outside of work, she loves spending time with grandchildren, spending time with her husband and cooking. She is such a wonderful asset to our team and is such a loving and caring “grandma” to each child she works with.

Infant Teacher: Kaylene Mahaffey is an infant teacher at Cubhouse Preschool. She took early childhood education courses at RCC. Her education background includes teaching for 3 years in childcare settings working with infants to school aged children. Outside of work, she is a wife and a mom to 2 kids.
Some of her hobbies include doing any kind of craft especially making jewelry, and spending time outside in the sunshine!

Teacher: Elly is a infant teacher at Cubhouse Preschool. Elly graduated from South Medford High School and is passionate about creating a positive environment for young children to grow and develop. Outside of work, she loves to travel, enjoy the sunshine, and spend quality time with her family and friends. She also values her time at church, where she finds inspiration and a sense of community.

Elly is excited to contribute to the development of the children she works with and looks forward to helping them build a strong foundation for their future learning.

Teacher: Faith is an infant teacher in the infant room at Cubhouse Preschool.  She has experience teaching in early head start and head start classes. She also has 3 years experience in childcare, taking care of children ranging in ages from infant to 6 years old. A few of her favorite things to do outside of teaching is reading and being anywhere outdoors. She also loves spending time with her family and friends. She is beyond excited to be with Cubhouse, and to help little minds grow!

Teacher: Baylee is a teacher at Cubhouse Preschool.  She holds a Bachelors Degree in Science. She has many years experience as a nurse. She also has a managerial role at her full time job as a nurse manager. Outside of her job and her time at Cubhouse, she spends time with her three kids and husband. Some of her hobbies include reading and enjoying nice days outside. She loves her Fridays at Cubhouse because she enjoys social interaction with her co teachers and spending time with all the little cubs.

Teacher: Maddy is a teacher at Cubhouse Preschool.  Before working at Cubhouse she had 6 years experience in childcare. She also owns her own business and enjoys working with her clients. Outside of her job and her time at Cubhouse, she spends time with her son and enjoys reading, crafts, event planning, cooking and growing herself as a leader. Her favorite about working with our cubs is getting to see the babies grow and learn and spend time with my amazing co teachers.
