OWNERS

Our owners are professional educators that have built solid reputations within the Medford School District and community.

Owner/Director: Ashley obtains a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Teaching, and a State of Oregon Teaching License. Her education background includes teaching 5th grade and Kindergarten for Medford School District.

Outside of work, she is a wife, mom, and dog mom. She adores her family and spending quality time with them. She also loves running, hiking, reading and being outside. Her goal is that she creates a positive, caring, happy environment that builds strong future little leaders!

Owner/Teacher: Malorie received her Degree in Elementary Education and her Master’s Degree in Teaching. Her teaching background includes teaching 6th grade in the Medford School District. Outside of teaching Malorie enjoys spending time with her son, her boyfriend, family, and friends.
Her other hobbies include playing softball, disc golf, reading, spending time outdoors, and exercising. She creates a wonderful journey of learning for each child that comes into her classroom.

STAFF

We have a highly qualified team of teachers that have a great passion for educating and caring for
the youth of our community. We are proud to have all of them on our team.

Teacher: Ali is a preschool teacher at Cubhouse. She has a bachelors degree in Elementary Education, and took 4 years of college American Sign Language. When she’s not at work, she enjoys to travel, craft, play ice hockey, and spend time with her kids and husband! She is so admired by her coworkers and students and brings so much fun into the classroom.

Teacher: Elise Goff is a preschool teacher at Cubhouse Preschool. She has 21 units of ECE and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her education background includes teaching all ages infant through middle school for about 15 years.
Outside of work, she loves hanging out with family and going to Disneyland.  Some of her hobbies include crafting and baking with her daughter and playing sports at the park.

Teacher Assistant: Andi Hickey is a Teacher Assistant at Cubhouse in the preschool room. She was was born in Medford Oregon and is a senior at South Medford High School. She brings so much energy and fun to the team!  She has always loved working with kids and has nannying and babysitting experience.  Her favorite part of working at Cubhouse is spending time with the Cubhouse kids and getting to know each one of them.

Teacher: McKayla is an early learners teacher at Cubhouse Preschool. She has 2 years experience in Special Education at Eagle Point High School and Middle School. She also has 2 years of experience in daycare, watching children aged infant to 4 1/2. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors, spending time with her husband and three kiddos. Some of her hobbies include softball, anything outdoors, and riding dirt bikes with her kids and husband. She loves to watch all the kids blossom into tiny little humans of the future!

Teacher Assistant: Mrs Gomez is an early learners teacher assistant at Cubhouse Preschool. She is bilingual and brings so much of her culture into our center.  Outside of work, she loves spending time with grandchildren, spending time with her husband and cooking. She is such a wonderful asset to our team and is such a loving and caring “grandma” to each child she works with.

Infant Teacher: Kaylene Mahaffey is an infant teacher at Cubhouse Preschool. She took early childhood education courses at RCC. Her education background includes teaching for 3 years in childcare settings working with infants to school aged children. Outside of work, she is a wife and a mom to 2 kids.
Some of her hobbies include doing any kind of craft especially making jewelry, and spending time outside in the sunshine!

Teacher: Tia Griffin is a infant teacher at Cubhouse Preschool. Tia’s background in childcare includes nannying and babysitting for many years including watching kids in her home in 2021. She is a mother of 2, a daughter who is almost 10 and a son that is 7.5 months and loves being around kids.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and kids. Some of her hobbies include being outdoors, swimming, watching movies and being with friends.
She plays a huge role in helping building future leaders!

Teacher: Faith is an infant teacher in the infant room at Cubhouse Preschool.  She has experience teaching in early head start and head start classes. She also has 3 years experience in childcare, taking care of children ranging in ages from infant to 6 years old. A few of her favorite things to do outside of teaching is reading and being anywhere outdoors. She also loves spending time with her family and friends. She is beyond excited to be with Cubhouse, and to help little minds grow!

Teacher: Grace is a teacher at Cubhouse Preschool.  She has experience babysitting and nannying throughout the years. She also coaches ages 3-6 in skiing. She also is attending SOU to become a teacher. She has many hours/credits in childcare and is head teacher qualified through the state.  A few of her favorite things to do outside of teaching is hiking, skiing, snowboarding, playing soccer, running, playing hockey and more. She is active in the community and stays busy. Her favorite part of working at Cubhouse is seeing all the growth the students make throughout the year.

Support Staff: Kids take a village! Here at Cubhouse part of our village is our amazing support staff. These wonderful ladies help us in closing, subbing, providing extra support during events, and more! We are truly grateful for them everyday! Thank you to Miss Halle, Miss Cloe, Miss Amy, Miss Baylee and Miss Maddy. :)
